Dr. Paul Corkum named co-winner of Frontiers of Knowledge Award

Dr. Paul Corkum, Principal Research Officer at the NRC, is the co-recipient of the BBVA Foundation Frontiers of Knowledge Award in Basic Sciences for his ground-breaking work in ultrafast processes and attosecond physics. A pioneer in the development of attosecond science, he is best known for developing the tools for producing the shortest human-made flashes of light to study the motion of electrons in molecules and atoms, and was a co-recipient of last year's prestigious Wolf Prize in Physics.
