Michael Curry is the (Acting) Director General of Client Enablement for the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC IRAP) Ontario region.

Michael joined NRC IRAP in 2008 as an industrial technology advisor working with small and medium-sized businesses across the innovation spectrum. He then went on to become a regional director in the East Greater Toronto Area, then director general for Ontario.

Prior to joining NRC IRAP, Michael held management positions at Johnson Controls, as a technical manager and technical processing, proceeded by various engineering positions. Michael's early career was spent at Fishercast and TriMag Magnesium Die Casting and Machining.

A professional engineer since 1999, Michael holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering and a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Lakehead University and he has a Six Sigma Greenbelt certification.

Michael enjoys giving back to his community by volunteering. In his spare time, he also enjoys restoring vintage motorcycles and automobiles, and is an avid outdoorsman.
