Janelle Sauvageau

Roles and responsibilities

Janelle Sauvageau works as a Research Officer in the glyco-chemistry team in HHT. She synthesises and analyze charged glycans and develop syntheses for vaccines and immunomodulators. Her main project is the synthesis of phosphated heptoses as immunomodulators. She is the chair of the chemical safety committee where their safe disposal and inventory is the main goal of the committee.

Current research and/or projects

Janelle Sauvageau is an expert in carbohydrate synthesis and analysis. Her contribution is to apply this field to human health therapeutics.

Research and/or project statements

-Synthesis of charged carbohydrate to access their potential as immunomodulators

-Analysis of carbohydrates using ion exchange and electrochemical detection

-Synthesis of glycans for assessment as conjugate vaccines

-Chairing the chemical committee
