The NRC is committed to building and strengthening relationships with Indigenous researchers, innovators, Knowledge Keepers, communities and partners to work together on the critical issues facing us today.

Working together, we will improve our research, advance knowledge and advance meaningful reconciliation with First Nations, Inuit and Métis.

Our objectives

The NRC has set out a number of objectives to shape and support Indigenous research:

  • Strengthen research relationships with Indigenous Peoples and organizations
  • Support Indigenous business innovation
  • Strengthen Indigenous participation in STEM, both within the NRC workforce and broader research ecosystem
