EUREKA Network call for proposals – Solutions for post-COVID-19 - Next high-impact human pandemic

In view of the difficulties Canadian small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) are facing during this uncertain time, the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program's (NRC IRAP) International team is committed to continuing to provide international business advisory services and funding support to innovative Canadian SMEs through its regular processes.
Given the rapidly evolving global situation, NRC IRAP International will continue coordinating closely with its national and international partners, and other government departments, and reserves the right to modify, postpone, or cancel planned or anticipated international activities where required.

This call for proposals for joint research and development (R&D) projects addressing medium-term solutions which will prepare society for the post-COVID-19 world and for combatting future pandemics is now open to Canadian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) who wish to collaborate on R&D projects with partners in Belgium, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, the Netherlands, South Africa, Spain, Sweden and Turkey.
Canadian participants with eligible projects may receive financial support through the National Research Council Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC IRAP). Participants from other countries must contact their respective national funding authorities engaged in this call - listed on the EUREKA Website.

To encourage Canadian participation in this international co-innovation effort, NRC research centres are invited to partner and collaborate with Canadian SMEs and at least one eligible international partner for this call. - infection prevention and protection
- prevention of antibiotic resistance
- sanitation technology
- diagnostics and testing
- therapeutics, vaccines and medicines
- medical intervention robotics
- disease-tracking technology
- smart technologies for critical production and supply chains under lockdown
