Harassment and violence prevention and resolution

Guided by our mandate, vision and mission, the NRC values an equitable, diverse, inclusive and respectful workplace. In this context, the NRC is committed to providing a safe, healthy and respectful workplace, free from all forms of harassment and violence for all of its employees.

The NRC workplace harassment and violence prevention and resolution policy takes effect in January 2021 to meet new regulatory requirements under Bill C-65, which modified the existing federal legislative framework for prevention of harassment and violence, including sexual harassment and sexual violence, in workplaces under federal jurisdiction.

This new policy replaces our existing policies related to harassment and violence prevention and resolution. It will enable us all to continue to live the NRC values and the values of the federal public service, as expressed in the NRC Code of Conduct, including the promotion of fairness, courtesy and respect for human dignity in the workplace.
