Magnesium oxide (MgO) board products - Important notice

The Canadian Construction Materials Centre (CCMC) has been made aware that some organizations have inaccurately represented magnesium oxide (MgO) board products as being tested and/or accepted by the CCMC in their online or other promotional materials.

Please note that only MgO board products published in the CCMC registry of product assessments have been evaluated by the CCMC and hold a valid CCMC assessment. While the CCMC makes every effort to ensure issues related to these misrepresentations have been addressed, it is important for users to continue to verify the CCMC's official registry to ensure that a product has an active CCMC evaluation report.

About CCMC product assessments

For each successful product assessment completed by the CCMC, a code compliance report is published on the CCMC registry of product assessments. This allows users to review the evidence of code compliance when making product approval decisions. CCMC-assessed products must be identified by the same CCMC number that is associated with its corresponding assessment report, published in the CCMC's official registry.

The CCMC registry of product assessments contains the most recent version of the CCMC's assessed products. A product is confirmed to be evaluated by the CCMC and is considered to have an active CCMC assessment only if it is published in this registry.
