Manufacturing Information

The CCMC product assessments are specific to manufacturing location (plants) and may involve third-party inspections.

When assessing products produced at multiple plants, each product from each plant must be qualified. The CCMC will work with you to determine the best strategy for qualifying product(s) produced at multiple plants.

Who can apply

Application for a Canadian Construction Materials Centre (CCMC) product assessment can be submitted by:

  • a product manufacturer
  • a Canadian distributor (including private labellers)
  • other entities, at the discretion of the CCMC

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible for a CCMC product assessment, you must:

  • be able to correspond in at least one official Canadian language
  • be a legal business entity
  • have a fully developed product
  • have a documented quality system
  • have detailed installation instructions
